The Freakin Rican

This place is very tiny and cramped, so don’t bring a group or you will wait forever for a table. And it’s just so small that it’s not comfortable for a group (I mean 5+ . That said, the food is delish and the portions are big. Their mofongo is my favorite. I don’t even need a protein just give me the mofongo, rice and peas and a side salad and that’s a perfect meal here. The service is lacking they are so busy. We didn’t get utensils for awhile even after they brought the food. And flagging someone down for the bill is useless. just go to the counter, which of course then adds to more ppl blocking the way.

It was wonderful to be back in my favorite restaurant. Nice seeing Derrick and all he has accomplished. Super proud, I went straight there from the airport. I'm never disappointed and do miss being a part of his team. See you soon

I had to try the pastels before I commit to place a bigger order so l ate one at the restaurant amazingly it was very good and end up ordering a dozen for Christmas now all I need is some Don Q.

They do not sell alcohol, but if you're hungry for real puerto rican food, this is the place.
