To start, we enjoyed the prawn cocktail, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh (even if it is reminiscent of the 70s!). The spiced carrot soup was equally delightful, smooth, and flavorful. The bread served with both starters was light and fluffy.
For our mains, we had the ox cheek, the fish of the day, and the Sunday sirloin roast. All were absolutely delicious, and the accompanying vegetables were equally tasty. The sticky toffee pudding was a standout dessert! They serve the toffee sauce on the side, allowing you to choose how much you’d like. The sponge itself was soft and flavorful, and when combined with the sauce and ice cream, it was pure joy!
