The George Dragon

I don't care that I know the young man who runs this pub, and I went last night hoping it would be good. in that did it completely exceeded my expectations. they obviously invested in the building. a beautiful old steinkneipe now has a wonderful fresh interieur. modern touches, but completely in character. so first impressions, very good and the george and dragon ale proved fresh and rather moorish . but the actual contract was still to come. the dinner was just great. I went for baked camembert followed by cote de boeuf and our table of six divided two desserts cream Brûlée and a contagiously pampered data court with ice that I did not appear to get the names of beer, as well as pretty red wine decanted and served by very attentive young employees. with a tipp we paid for two that I must pay constantly per head in the top London restaurants, and honestly eating and every aspect of this experience was as good as I would expect in london. when the chef came and shared the story, he worked at nobu and the ivy, I was not surprised. if the team that served us so well last night read that. thank you. they have created something very special

excellent! this country pub is fantastic! with the current modern look, but still keep the old school British pub / restaurant feel. well managed by the owner, he is very friendly and helpful as well as all staff. the local are friendly a good laugh, eating is amazing! recommend the mixed grill with its locally produced meat and homemade sauce, good hardy full English breakfast to begin the day. the rooms are brilliant! very clean cozy, with fresh soft towels every day. they have their own thema with love to detail, I stayed in the pheasant room, the some cool pheasant propes, beautiful large comfortable bed. beautiful large pub garden decent parking. I can't recommend staying here enough if they are in the environment!

I recently had the pleasure of having a night in this beautiful pub. my room was stunning and the decor is beautiful and fresh and clean. ralph could not do enough for us, my partner had arranged my surprise engagement in the next village and was sadly left down last minute, ralph (the owner) organized something so beautiful and so fast. it was stunning and I couldn't wish that something would happen better. the eating is devine and the chef is incredible (it must try) and the service was second to none. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will experience our wonderful day again every year! many thanks to ralph and sam for our fantastic weekend! x

We popped in for a quick drink and ended up staying for an amazing Sunday lunch! Thank you to the really lovely and friendly staff for squeezing us in! Highly recommended

Gloucester old spot pork, amazing roasties... the best Sunday lunch I have every had. Enough said.
