The George Pub - Réserver une table

We have previously visited The George and enjoyed delicious food and great service. However, our recent visit was quite disappointing. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us and we had to find someone to seat us. My partner and I both ordered steak with sauce. The food arrived quickly, but the sauce was cold, which we only realized after pouring it onto the steak. I asked a waiter to heat up the sauce, but it took speaking to another staff member for it to be resolved. Even with the hot sauce, our steak was still cold. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to The George.

We made a local visit to this pub and decided to have some food we ordered Atlantic cod with chips , chicken and leak pie to include mash , when the food arrived it was perfectly presented but we never enjoyed it as it never tasted fresh so the mash tasted like it had been left in the fridge for a few days the chicken and leek pie the pastry was tough to cut and tasted like it came from Icelands frozen supermarket the same with the cod , you really need to start cooking fresh food with good chefs that know how to cook apart from that a nice drinking establishment.

The food at this restaurant was awful. The waitress was difficult to communicate with and I had to repeat myself multiple times. It shouldn't be difficult to order what is listed on the menu. Unfortunately, my food order was incorrect and my drink arrived with my appetizers.

We had a lovely welcome. Yaz, at the bar, was superb. Dispite being very busy, she had a great smile and gave us a fantastic customer experience. Lara and Evie were also excellent.
