The Georgian Tearoom

What a great little place to stumble upon! We nipped in here for a quick breakfast and found this beautiful, authentic tearoom. The food was delicious (a proper full English, can't complain) and it was really nice to be served tea with a full Georgian set, complete with tea leaves and strainer. The gentleman serving us chatted to us for a while and was really friendly, telling us all about the house and how it came to be. In all honesty, it put us in a good mood for the rest of the day! Definitely one to visit in Stroud.

we took our mother and dad here as part of their 60th high-time celebrations and it was absolutely perfect. beautiful environment and richard was a great host, polite, friendly and entertaining. However, eating was the star of the show, with much to eat and always the offer of more if we wanted. the chunked with camouflaged were excellent, but we are narrowly grown if not surpassed by the homemade mini Bakewell tarts, lemon cheesecake and jam tarts. would in any case visit again if in the opposite.

This restaurant was a great discovery. The home cooked food was delicious. My sister ordered a pie with vegetables and we also saw other customers enjoying their Sunday roasts, which all looked amazing. Three of us had the afternoon tea which was excellent, especially the homemade scones which were the highlight. The service was very friendly and helpful. Thank you. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return if we were in the area.

amazing classic afternoon tea experience. everything is homemade (profess tea, hot chocolate and even limonade!) and best skorone I tasted! also, very reasonable price, we took the menu for 2 and was more than enough (even after a day of hiking! . they value the way around when they are in the opposite. also, very close to the train station so was perfect for us to make a break before they get the train back to london. We had order Sunday roast , mine was the beef and it was RAW AND ****. Completely disgusting. It use to be my favorite place in Stroud , I never will return because I dont think that anything is cooked properly I dont want food poisoning, research how to cook properly

This place is very special indeed. Lovely friendly humorous butler. Food is all home cooked and is absolutely delicious...I have said goodbye to TV dinners!! Very flexible on menu options. The cakes are to die for. Bespoke meals done on request. Best ever

What a lovely tea room. We had the afternoon tea and the scones and cheesecake were particularly amazing! The home made lemonade was also lovely! We had a very warm welcome and the service was great.. and great value for money.

Nice place in the centre of Stroud, very nice and chatty host, not opened long, but will get regular customers, especially on Sundays, their roast is getting rave reviews! Will definitely go again just for the roast. Réservez une table maintenant

I enjoyed a delicious light lunch and indulged in a fantastic gluten-free chocolate cake at this restaurant. Richard provided excellent service and was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this place.

absolutely fabulous. sad we were not in stroudonger to visit us more time. scones were delicious. the host was fantastic to chat with. very recommended we hope to come back.
