The Ghost light has a lot of potential but the service was so terrible that it made our experience lacking. We waited 6 minutes to seated. (Before anyone came to take our info). The Maitres d'hotel was also a server for some. There were two bartenders who seemed to be serving all of the tables. At a couple of points they all disappeared. The food came out quickly after we ordered but we waited 15 minutes to order and 15 minutes to get our bill. It made the experience stressful as we had theatre tickets. The food was cooked well. My daughter and I had the salmon and my husband had the steak. The menu doesn’t have a ton and that is fine as sometimes choice is overwhelming. I might return but n...

The restaurant is, at best, a hotel restaurant for someone just looking for anything to eat after a travel day. They are severely short-staffed and didn't have enough menus. The food is basic. The walleye was good (albeit gigantic) but the chicken was thick and under seasoned. Mashed potatoes were heavy and under seasoned and asparagus was also thick and under seasoned. I don't think they know what kind of restaurant they want to be. Atmosphere seemed kind of cool, but food and service definitely are not.

This was our second visit to Ghost Light. And both times we were seated, given water, and then ignored for 20+ minutes. Tonight was meant to be a redemption from our previous experience. The first time, they were crowded, but tonight, there were less than 10 diners in the restaurant. There were only two servers working, with the manager. We left because no one came to take an order, and we will not be returning. If this restaurant was not in a hotel, it would not survive.

Our first time at Ghost Light. Service was a little wonky on our Saturday night visit. We had to flag down the host/server don't really know who was supposed to be our server to order drinks, the meal and request the check. The staff were quick to respond when we did ask for attention; but, they were otherwise spread too thin or understaffed. The food was tasty. My wife and I both had the walleye dinner. Fried walleye dinner and grilled chicken sandwich were very good. Bananas Foster HUGE! Enough for 4 people easily! Service started out great, we were only guests , but by end of dinner, service got spotty as restaurant filled and took to long to get table cleared etc. but like everyone else, my guess is staff shortages. But our waiter had a great personality. Would probably return.

This was a great restaurant I never knew it was there. They had 4 people taking care of everyone and worked as a team. They did a great job great job taking care of everyone. The food was very good I had the short ribs they were perfect. Great job by everyone working there I know it's tough right now but you made it work.

This is our downtown, go to restaurant. They don't always have a lot of staff, but those that are working are very efficient, professional, and kind. We have not had a meal or cocktail that we didn't enjoy.

Wanted a place to eat at before seeing a show. It was within walking distance and it worked perfectly. Service and food was was quick. Meal was very good. Réservez une table maintenant

We were the only guests in the restaurant for a 745 reservation and we felt like a burden. We weren’t greeted or served by kind staff. Won’t be back.
