We chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration with a group of 12 people and a baby, and we couldn't have made a better choice. We arrived at the bar a couple of hours before our restaurant reservation and found it to be warm and welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of drinks. Our table in the restaurant was in a great location and because we had pre-ordered our food, it was all brought out to us at the same time, despite the busy atmosphere. We decided to try the 5 bar snacks, which were served tapas-style, and also ordered the battered halloumi (possibly the best I've ever had). Our son had the nuggets, which were very fresh. All the food was absolutely delicious. Our server, Louise, was friendly and efficient. The only downside was when my husband asked the bartender for a lighter and was told they didn't have any, despite there being candles on every table. With a bit more effort, she could have found something to accommodate us, potentially leading to us staying longer for another drink or dessert. Despite this small issue, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Called today around1.30 with my wife to have lunch. The car park was very quiet but there were a couple of tables occupied outside. The inside was completely empty and no sign of any staff in the bar.We waited to be served and we waited and waited. I called out but still no sign of anyone. I went through to the other bar and then into the restaurant. Still no sign of life. Went back to the main bar and waited and waited again. In the end we left. Very disappointed as the menu on their website looked appetising. The review reflects the experience and not the food which we were unable to try.
This is a wonderful restaurant with excellent service and a nice selection of beers, although they are a bit expensive. However, the food was terrible. How do you mess up something as simple as a sandwich?! I ordered the fish fingers sandwich expecting it to be on a bun or English muffin, but it came on toast.

Popped in with family over the weekend and it was great! Very clean, rustic old country pub. Food was good pub grub. Plenty of pie options which is great for a pie lover like myself! Staff really friendly and dogs allowed in the bar area! Would come again
This pub used to be amazing and people would travel from all over to enjoy the food. Now, it’s cheap, all food seems like it’s plastic. This really does need someone to take it back to proper good pub grub. It was so bad I was angry. Such a shame
Went for lunch. Beer £1 a pint! Restricted menu of light dishes. If you want something more substantial (and more expensive) the beer is full price! What sort of a stupid deal is that? And the food was poor!
Excellent food service. Children's meals were excellent. Best houmous we've had in a long time. Definitely be visiting again soon.
