The Golden Rooster

The restaurant is located in a historic building and has been in business for quite some time. It's surprising that it remains open. Upon entering, there is a musty smell. While the prices are reasonable, the food is extremely disappointing. I ordered eggs benedict for breakfast and found it so repulsive that I could not even finish it.

We visited the restaurant based on the reviews. It is an old house, and the host was absolutely amazing. We were glad to support the family restaurant. The food was prepared freshly and the menu has lots of options. Since we were the only one there (at first) the serving was fast. Overall good experience.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the food was decent. However, the prices are high for the quality of the food, which seems to be mostly reheated. The servers were friendly, but it appears that this restaurant mainly caters to a crowd of older men who come in for beers.

This place is consistently outstanding! We've never had a bad meal! Everything is delicious every time! Run by a Thai couple for many years, the food is PERFECTION!!! We have a getaway farm in the area and typically order Take Out from The Golden Rooster...More Réservez une table maintenant

I saw HARRY packing. I heard they are selling the restaurant for $500.000. Why doesn't HARRY ask for $800.000??? Maybe this way we can have the rooster around for longer. We need the Rooster in town ! This is on of the best restaurants in town.

This place is amazing. I've worked downtown Toronto for 13 years and this is the real deal. The chef is Thai and her husband runs the dining room. You will have to wait, as it's only the two of them, but the food is worth it!

Although the food is quite tasty, do not go here if you have a large group, OR if you are in a hurry! We waited FOREVER for our food and by the time we all got our dishes, some were finished already!

Super lunch of Thai shrimp rolls & Won Ton Soup, but the proprietors have sold the house and will be gone by the end of July. We shall miss them.

The Golden Rooster had amazing authentic Thai food. Service was amazing. Always friendly. The owners are now retiring to Thailand. :(
