Ordered a take away from Good Earth Wimbledon tonight as was too tired to cook. It’s a while since we’ve had a take away from there and what a disappointment. It was unpalatable. To start with it was already cold when my husband went to collect it despite the fact he got there earlier than he was told. We put the vacuum packs in the oven to reheat. The vacuum packs they use are not very easy to deal with. The crispy lamb in lettuce wrap was really fatty and quite tasteless. Crispy seaweed was ok. Aromatic duck was ok but they could have made a bit of an effort to properly slice the cucumber into sticks and not serve it in quarters. I can't review the food because it never arrived!!! Deliveroo tracking showed order had been delivered...rang restaurant...totally unhelpful..they said food had left with Deliveroo driver and it was nothing to do with them (great customer service). Spoke to deliveroo and was told my order had been delivered to wrong address and there was nothing they could do. After being accused of first putting in the wrong address on my order...even though I was staring at my order confirmation email from deliveroo with the correct address! I was told the driver had tried to call us...again...I was staring at my phone with no missed calls! Had to fight for a refund. Then contacted restaurant to feedback o...
Prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. We've been loyal customers for years, but during our last takeaway order, they refused to replace the pancakes with just a few lettuce leaves to accommodate my coeliac condition. This had never been an issue in the past. This time, they even wanted to charge an extra £1.50 for a few leaves! There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area, including great Chinese options. We won't be going back to Good Earth.
This place has to be a massive joke. Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. I don’t know what kind of palet would handle eating this food. Wouldn’t even feeding it to my dog. And on top of that, it’s not the cheapest on the market. Can’t believe this business is still running. Don’t bother going to this place, if you want a good Chinese in London, go to Sichuan Popo.
This used to be our treat Chinese takeaway, but tonight 's meal will be our last from this restaurant. One of the most disappointing Chinese meals I 've ever had. Ridiculously hard chilli beef, Singapore noodles were virtually devoid of chicken and prawns, and the crispy aromatic duck wasn 't even crispy. A waste of £45.
The food is delightful overall, but I recommend steering clear of any chicken dishes. They seem to either use frozen chicken that has been defrosted or simply lack quality, resulting in a consistently unpleasant taste across all chicken options. On the other hand, the prawns and beef are excellent!
