"One of the many pubs on Rose Street except this one has a huge difference, it never seems to have any punters in. I went in here on a football day and there was 5 people in the pub. One of them being me and another being the barman. The whole of Rose Street seemed to be packed so I never understood why this pub was so quiet. I did enjoy it if I'm honest as I got the chance to buy a pint and have a sit down and read my book at the same time which was lovely. Wouldn't suggest going in to the toilets, I got a bit of a fright with how shocking they were. The Gordon Arms is yet another pub on Rose Street, and like the majority of the others, this one is also fairly indistinguishable from the rest. Situated in the centre of Rose Street, The Gordon Arms is right in the centre of the city and it is just a short walk from the main shopping street in Edinburgh, Princes Street, and so it is a convenient place to reach. It is not that there is anything in particular wrong with this pub, but neither is anything about it which makes it stand out from the rest and make you want to go back.
