The Grand Bayou Cajun Kitchen & Watering Hole

Stopped in here for lunch the other day with our younger kiddos. I had the gumbo for a starter (was different than what im used to, alot thicker, but quite tastey). My gf had the Cajun chowder (just a plain ol bland clam chowder).For mains, I had the Cajun shrimp po-boy wasnt bad, but shrimp was overcooked and bun was meh, otherwise tasted decent. My gf had the Cajun Mac n Cheese (was a sorta plain cheese sauce, cajun garnish was tastey). Also ordered a pizza, it was pretty good, decent amount of toppings, little soggy in the middle, but otherwise not bad.Service was very friendly and helpful.

Wife saw the food being heated in a microwave and not prepared fresh. There was no steam from the food, no aroma of freshly cooked food in the air. The food was sealed under 5 minutes.

This place is hardly worthy of being called a restaurant. The owner treats the staff poorly and the food is subpar/Not worth it.
