My wife and I just returned from Greece, and we were craving an authentic Greek salad—not just a regular salad with a bit of feta thrown in, which is all we could find even at a Greek diner. By chance, we spotted a place called Greek-ish while driving through Harrison and decided to give it a try. We were thrilled to find that the salad was incredible, with all the ingredients being fresh and crisp. I also sampled the hummus dip, which was fantastic, along with the two entrees we ordered. On a brighter note, the manager was very proactive and enthusiastic, doing his best to address the minor issues we encountered. The appetizers were enjoyable, and the dips were a highlight. The main courses were decent but didn’t stand out; honestly, nothing was wrong, yet nothing was exceptional either. Desserts, however, left much to be desired. We ordered the baklava and a “molten” chocolate cake, only to find both served cold and tasting like they came out of a box. I came on Friday with a customer who worked gm along with his wife who were the nicest people. everyone on the Greek has alerted on our service that was exceptional. even the chef made eye contact with me when I needed brot and threw a few pita in many for me. eating was excellent, micheal the gm recommended a dry aged steak that was on the square with every top steakhouse. eating was in contrast to any Greek restaurant with very unique aromas that I could not get enough. this restaurant is a must to visit, I will certainly go to nyak to invite the others to try and say hello the michael!
Here’s what we enjoyed: - Two carafes of the house red wine, which were surprisingly good for a house selection. - Taramasalata spread - Greek salad - Grilled octopus - Branzino served with lemon potatoes and Horta (though it was filet-style since they only serve whole fish on weekends) - Baklava for dessert The only drawback was the ventilation; it was a bit smoky from the kitchen. Despite that, I can’t wait to visit again, and I might check out their Nyack location as well. We live quite far away, but the drive was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this place! Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Nicholas and staff were super attentive and even provided a complimentary glass of wine and appetizer. food great very tasty, service leaves a little bit to desire but servers are amiable and funny, place sholuld be bigger and it is a little smokey because of the grills, but the selection and taste of food is hard to beat, if you dont go there you are missing the treat of a lifetime.
