This is a fantastic choice on historic Halifax Street. The restaurant is well laid out with plenty of room inside and out; and the menu has loads of choices catering for vegetarians as well. The service is so friendly - the staff genuinely make you feel welcome and valued. It was an absolute delight to sit out on the pavement area and enjoy real Greek food. The dolmades served with yoghurt were soft and full of flavour and take you right back Greece! Highly recommend this place - easy parking around the streets some with no ticket required; food genuine and great quality; coffee strong and full of flavour; service top class. My fiancé and I went for dinner and ordered the lamb shank, YIROS and calamari entree. The lamb shank was tasty and reasonable price at $30. The entree was also fine but the YIROS was an absolute rip off price (as you can see in the picture) and was NOT worth $27. They give you a very very small cup of tzaziki and a pile of pita bread because they know it won't be enough. So you ask for some more of course and they bring you a BIGGER cup of tzaziki (not the same size as the original one) and charge you $4. Which I didn't need all of and only had a couple of spreads. I will not be ever going back there. They have lost MY bisiness after that scam there.P.s: our whole meal cost $80 for a YIROS,...
It was our special occasion so we thought let's try Greek food. We rocked up for early dinner and to our surprise it was empty. Actually we landed there 10 minutes before they open. However they let us in and we ordered their banquet. Food was brilliant. Quantity was big too. Overall a good experience and nice customer service. By the time we finished our meal the restaurant was busy busy.
Went out for a Saturday night dinner, we weren't disappointed. One of the best meals in a long time. I had the yiros one of the best ever, meat beautifully cooked, the salad divine. Would even go back for Yia yias chips. All other meals of such a high standard The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant has great ambiance. Happy to go back and recommend highly. Had lunch here with friends on a Friday lunch time.Staff were very friendly and service was first class. We started with a serve of garlic and herb bread which was enough for the four of us. I had the moussaka which was devine! Others had the slow roasted lamb which was encased in filo pastry. Clean plates all around. Great food, great service. Will come here again!
Wonderful dishes, lovely time there! Will definitely come back later! The seafood dish are well cooked with beautiful taste, tasty creamy sauce, fresh calamari, mussel and fish. The lamb shank matches well with tomato and the green bean, and the smashed potato has an amazing bean taste.
