Authentic delicious Greek food. We ordered the saganaki and crab cakes as starters and for mains I had the prawns kritharotto which apparently is what this restaurant is known for. We also ordered the lobster dish (astakomakaronada) both dishes were excellent and the seafood was extremely fresh My kids got the chicken souvlaki plate with fries very generous portions! I was a little surprised at bill which added an extra $7 if you pay by credit card I'm not sure if this is common practice but I was very taken aback (we don't have such a surcharge in Canada where I'm from). Fabulous dining experience at The Greek on Main! Recommended by our son! Appetizers were amazing! Fig Goat Cheese Flatbread Haloumi Fries Feta and roasted red pepper aioli. So good! Tomato salad! Enjoyed two entrée specials! Shrimp and Pork Delicious! The prawns and lamb shank were well prepared! Dessert and tea! Perfectly ended the night! Our Server Lovely was truly lovely!! In New Jersey for a special occasion, we met with my sister in Metuchen for dinner and afterwards felt like dessert and coffee so decided to visit The Greek on Main. Decorated outside and inside we were quickly shown to a table and served by a very nice server Gabby who gave us recommendations and was very attentive. We had 2 decaf, 1 Greek tea and for dessert a galaktaboureko like a sponge cake but not too sweet and of course bread pudding. Nice to sit down and catch up. Lucky for us the restaurant was not too crowded so service was awesome. Definite recommend.
There is no doubt the food here is excellent. The workers are friendly and the restaurant is clean. They offer outside dining too which is a plus. The only reason I rate it 3 out of 5 is because the service is the slowest I've experienced in a long time. Took roughly 15 after we were seated for someone to actually ask if we were being helped. When they realized we weren't they got someone to assist. When we asked for the check the waitress just disappeared.the restaurant didn't appear busy but I would recommend the restaurant for the food.

The Beef Gyro from the Greek on Main was the absolute best!! It was my first time using their "delivery" option and it was delivered hot and delicious. Treat yourself to either dining in at the Greek on Main for a warm, welcoming atmosphere so as to enjoy their well prepared dishes, or, as i enjoyed today, a wonderful treat delivered to my doorstep from the Greek on Main.
We ordered three meals for $55 for pick up. Order and pickup was nice, but the food quality was just disappointing. Meat tasted not great and very dry, gyro was very dry and without taste. We always go there for family occasions, very relax, elegant, excellent food, never disappointed. The octopus is like no other, simply tender and delicious.
