This small pub is charming and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food, however, was average. My partner enjoyed the Chicken liver pate, which was bought in but tasty. I had the prawn cocktail, which was presented in a small glass tumbler. Although it was nice, the presentation was a bit odd. The peri peri chicken lacked flavor, but when I mentioned this to our server, he brought me more sauce, which unfortunately didn't improve the taste. It was more like roast chicken. My partner ordered the Wild Boar Ragu, which was stodgy and tasted like Heinz Spaghetti. The overcooked spaghetti and sauce resembled Heinz spaghetti sauce.
