This was a big to do item on our trip from Chicago to England. We stopped by on our way from London to the Cotswold for our anniversary. It was only the bar menu when we arrived but we waited through a downpour and enjoyed amazing food. It was so incredible that we drove and hour and a half back the next day to give dinner a try and we were not disappointed. Whatever brownie was being served that weekend (10/13) was the best I’ve ever had and I’m truly gonna be dreaming of it forever. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking
We’ve had a meal in the main restaurant and popped in several times for bar meals all have been really good. Today we visited again for a pint and some bar food and although the restaurant was packed and the kitchen was also preparing food for their fireworks event they still managed to feed us too! We opted for todays special, sirloin beef roast. It was so tough and over cooker, carrots were also very hard, the rest of the meal was nice, but nothing special. Although the sever was made aware, we were still charged full price and they added an £18 service charge. Ordered chips in the corner of the bar which took 30 minutes to arrive, we had to ask and it was clear they had forgotten to cook them. We then asked for ketchup and nobody came back. Vegetarian options: One of the best veggie roast dinners I’ve ever had! The nut roast wellington was sooo good and wasn’t dry like in most other veggie roast options you find out and about. The puddings were also amazing! Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
