Not a great experience. The building itself is a charming oldie worldie structure, but it feels tired and like it needs some TLC. We booked food for 7.15pm. It is pretty expensive and the menu is limited. Cheapest bottle of wine was c.£26 (remember it is a pub at the end of the day). We eventually got served our food over an hour later. They did explain they had a big party in and as a result, a fair amount of the menu had sold out (including what we both wanted). They did automatically discount the bill, which is fair enough. My husband and I took our son for dinner to celebrate his 18th. Service was excellent (thanks Jemma and Charlie) and so was the food. Really enjoyable evening topped off by a special dessert for my son’s birthday. Many thanks to the chefs.

A lovely place to stay for a few days. Food was good and staff helpful. Only compromise was the small menu didn't change whilst we were there so could be eating same meal twice.
