Now, let's talk about the food. The roast was outstanding; everything was cooked perfectly, and there was a wonderful selection of vegetables. I know many other pubs could learn a thing or two from the Griffin about how to run a pub restaurant effectively. The desserts were just as impressive. Overall, it was an excellent value meal and a real gem for us. We definitely plan to return soon, and this time we’ll make an effort to arrive on time. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team!

I had arranged to meet friends for lunch and was looking for a restaurant that could accommodate my gluten-free and dairy-free diet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the menu clearly marked gluten-free options, and I even had the choice of having many dishes prepared gluten-free. I decided to try the gluten-free fish and chips, and they did not disappoint! All the meals were excellent, and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

I felt compelled to write a review for Stuart and Sarah because our experience at this pub was truly one of the best we've ever had. The service was exceptional—helpful and friendly at every turn. The food is simply outstanding, cooked to perfection, especially the steaks, and the personal service made it even better. We can confidently say that we will definitely be returning! This is a well-maintained, clean pub with incredible food.

I had a wonderful experience at this pub, which is very friendly and welcoming. I visited on a Wednesday lunchtime and was pleased to find a good selection of beers. The lunch menu was impressive, and the dinner and Sunday options also looked appealing. The staff were fantastic and accommodating, making for a pleasant visit overall. Highly recommended! Visited for the 1st time hadn’t a table booked it was early evening but they accommodated us and nothing was a problem all the staff were so polite. The only concern was after ordering the food was out within 10 minutes. Would I go hell yeah really fab Friday night and lovely food thanks Team Griffin

huge portions. had chips, egg and sink, chips were great. service was ok, but then the restaurant was empty, even on Friday. cheesecake had the wrong texture, it was too hard set and they could not taste the cheese, much too sweet. but I would go back.

Were new to the area and are so glad we found The Griffin Inn. Weve now been 6 times. Every time the food, service and staff have been excellent. We take all our visitors there. Prices are so reasonable. well.

Fantastic food, super friendly staff, very reasonably priced. Old fashioned pub but very clean.
