We despair of finding places anywhere near Frodsham or the surrounding area that serves anything near decent and with some understanding of good food. But here it is!! We visited for Sunday lunch. The prawn cocktail was delicious plumptious prawns and a lovely sauce not your usual, strong, out of a bottle. Grandson had a duck with hoisin sauce to start and described it as divine. The Sunday roast was delicious. Lamb, pork and beef all cooked beautifully and the roast potatoes tasted fresh rather than reheated. This beautiful pub offers a fantastic selection of gluten-free pub meals, including some delicious desserts. I highly recommend the fish and chips, as well as the sticky toffee pudding. This is a very special place to enjoy top quality food and drinks. The outside area is fabulous, over looking lovely countryside. The old building is full of character and authenticity. The staff are professional and friendly. Ample parking. Reasonable prices. Best to book a table. Highly recommended.

The fish and chips were fantastic, and the selection of real ales was outstanding. My wife enjoyed the fishcake and thought it was delicious. The dining experience was excellent, with a warm welcome, quick and efficient service, all set in a beautiful building. Highly recommended!
fantastic eating in a beautiful environment. both inside and outside seats. beautiful character building, beautiful hiking trails near and many parking spaces available. will go back to any case.
Really rate this pub Food was high quality Kids meals were huge Staff were really friendly Allows dogs which adds to the atmosphere. Has a great outdoor space with a tractor to sit on.
