The Ground Pat'i Houma

Ground Pat 'i in Houma has been my go-to burger restaurant for as long as I can remember. There was something special about their burger — flame-grilled with hand-grated thick Cheddar cheese and a pickle spear. The fries were among the best too. Best of all, the food was always consistent. Sadly, that has changed. Last night, I visited Ground Pat 'i and was served a cold burger with thin shredded cheese that clearly came from a bag. The fries were different and now have pieces of potato skin attached to them. Even the pickle spear had a stronger kosher taste. The food was decent. I got the santa fe chicken salad and I mean it was okay, it didnt wow me but it is just a salad lol. The fried veggie basket was kinda small and the fried mozzarella sticks were not worth the price. The waitress was excellent though.

We came as part of a group trip. My burger was really very good, I loved it! The Red velvet cake for dessert is also delicious. Very nice surprise!

Service was extremely slow, food took way too long to come out. When it did it was not complete and not as ordered.

I ordered the fried fish on bun dressed. The fish had a strong fish taste. Not to my liking.
