I recently had the pleasure of dining at Half Wall Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience! From the moment we entered, we were met with friendly smiles and a cozy atmosphere that set the perfect mood for the evening. The menu featured a wide array of delicious options, making it tough to pick just one dish. I ultimately chose the grilled Mahi Mahi, and it certainly did not disappoint. The fish was cooked to perfection, seasoned wonderfully, and paired with fresh, flavorful sides. My dining companions were equally impressed with their selections, especially the juicy burgers and the rich, creamy clam chowder. The drink menu was another highlight...
There was a hard piece of plastic in my food. I let the waiter know and when the manager came over he said I don't know how it got in there I don't know how it could have gotten in there and almost made it seem like it was my fault... He totally gaslighted the situation into something that was very uncomfortable and made it worse. He was completely unapologetic and rude. Everybody at the table there were five of us wasn't disbelief at the way he handled the situation. He did comp my meal which seemed to pain him all the more. Good food, large beer selection, and indoor and outdoor dining options. The Half Wall has a large outdoor seating area with lots of shade and a nice atmosphere or an indoor area with nice A/C ? both options are nice, depending on the weather. It was seat yourself when we went, but there were plenty of open seats. The service was good though we went at a slow time so things might be different when busy, we had no issues with the staff. The food was good, but looking at the massive beer wall, I would say that is the main attraction. I loved this spot. Close to 95 and they have a really big menu that has things like meatloaf and burgers and chicken, wings, and beer, beer, beer, beer. Service was fab. Restaurant was clean. But what you really wanna hear about is the food: Fries crisp, hot and good compliment to the burgers. Wings mild to hot, with cool flavors like teriyaki, honey garlic and sweet chili. Sweet Chili Wings the best of the wing flavors we tried. Cheeseburger really good. Black and Blue Burger good burger choice, which my wife got with hot sauce. No dessert, so I cannot comment on that. My family orders takeout from this restaurant a few times a month, typically spending around $60 or more for our family of four. However, tonight was a major disappointment. I only received 2 out of the 4 dinners I ordered, and I didn't realize it until I got home. I went back to the restaurant to pick up the rest of my order, but the staff hardly apologized, and by the time I got home, the food was cold. I won’t be coming back.
Met a friend for dinner here, great beer choices. I had a blueberry ale that was very tasty. Food was excellent had nachos and chicken Philly. They put on the baseball game we were looking to catch. Our server was very friendly and attentive to us during the whole visit. We both agreed we will be back again soon! Parking: Plenty of spots that stretch down to the former Harley dealer.
