The Hampshire Bowman

Visited last night at short notice, very accommodating. Had an excellent Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Fantastic food, really tasty and very filling as portion size is large, however asked for a reduced size meal for me and it was no problem. Lovely...atmosphere, welcoming log fire's, polite and friendly staff and the best beer! Highly recommended.

Visited here with a group of friends. Food quality very poor, limited menu i.e nearly everything served with chips! And the chips were awful, oven chips undercooked and like cardboard! Shame they don’t do table service either, which caused queues at the bar not...good for social distancing! Unlikely to visit again.

Arrived are here with friends without booking a table. Fortunately there was one available in the bar area. We ordered our drinks at the bar and took them to our table, we had to wait almost an hour for our food, but it was definitely...worth the wait. Would visit again if we were in the area.

Popped in for a roast and can’t believe we’d left it so long. The roast turkey and venison shank were phenomenal. The best roast potatoes I’ve ever had (and I’ve eaten a lot of roast dinners Very relaxed country pub with good selection of real...ale and proper (flat) cider!

Having enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere at The Bowman over many years. I was very disappointed in the choice only specials) and quality of food this evening. Burger was salty, fish was small in overcooked batter and chips poorly cooked frozen.
