A wonderfully located pub Restaurant offering a great selection of local Fare and Traditional Dishes . Good selection of Ales and Spirits. We were Seated in The Stable Bar where we ordered food, and drink , All served by Gill and her colleague. Service with a smile, Dog friendly, and delicious food . The steak Stilton pie were an absolute delight. Well worth a visit to explore their extensive menu, booking a table is advised because of the popularity of this establishment. I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. I was able to make a reservation for 12 o'clock and the staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. They were attentive and welcoming. I ordered the carvery, which was generously portioned and delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly. The restaurant has parking available and both indoor and outdoor seating options. The cozy atmosphere inside, with a real fire burning, made for a great dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was extremely impressed! The space was bigger than I anticipated, especially with the addition of outdoor seating. I arrived just before noon and was lucky to snag a table without a reservation, but I suggest booking in advance if possible. The service was prompt and the food was of a high quality. The building itself had a lot of character, which added to the overall experience. I can understand why this place is so popular!

The restaurant is welcoming, but I was let down by the food. The lasagna had very little meat or sauce, and was mostly bland pasta. The chips were advertised as homemade, but were definitely not. Overall, the lunch cost between £20-30 per person. The food was rated 1 out of 5, while the service and atmosphere were both given a 4. The lasagna was the only dish recommended. This restaurant is fantastic. Fortunately, we were able to sit outside and order our food from the stable bar. The menu was the same as the one offered in the pub, and our meals were brought to our table promptly. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I had cakes and chips as starters, and the steak I ordered was tender and flavorful.

a wonderful place and a great value. I had the mixed grill and was absolutely filled (they would appreciate an attempt if they wanted a challenge). it also came with unusual orientated like leber and niere, which an excellent change from normal. our waiter was also a good laugh.

I must say the service was excellent and friendly. The beer and food were top-notch. They are also dog-friendly. Overall, I rate the service, atmosphere, and food a perfect 5 out of 5. The price per person ranges from £20 to £30 for dinner.

Excellent food, all 4 of us had the Roast Chicken dinner at lunch time, it was a bit of a long wait but it was very nice and plenty of it. A lovely building too

Gem of a pub, great surroundings, the meal we had was bang on and service was excellent. Would recommend without a doubt.
