the hardwick is one of the most famous and famous restaurants waless. they have probably already heard that the blowing over their celebrated chef and ethos of generous, un-poncy, fleshy, comfort eating before. if yes, only on the pictures of the nosh. rural hardwick is located in the gastronomic environment of abergavenny, you could call different “restaurant with rooms” or “gastro-pub”, depending on which cliché kills their imagination. at the beginning I decided to welsh rarebit on slowly cooked ham hockey, with a soot, lion tooth and caper salat, senf cream and grilled sourdough. not to put too fine point on it, this was absolutely divine, and the Rarebit topping (that was one of the best games of the plate I tried) on the tasty, crumby ham was inspired! the cream was served in a light, fluffy snake and the salat gave a beautiful extra texture to the dish. personally I didn't need the sourded with it, but I had a bite and it was good!
