the zomato reviews on this place were missing and mixed. I came to lunch on Saturday, January 2020. the chef looked like he had good control in the kitchen. the staff was polite and attentive. is loved again: sirloin steak medium rare with mushroom sauce, chips and salat (green, carrot, tomato, capsicum mayo dressing). soupe des tags broccoli, also beautiful. garlic bread, crispy, very garlic, a little on the oily side, but good taste. needs work: fish and chips. the fish was a bit dry and could not compete with the others. further feedback: the sirloin steak is juicy and thick. please serve...read more
A dated pub with a country feel in the city. Cocktails are cheap (ranging from $12 to $15) and just as good as fancier places. Food was uninspiring function platters consisted of party pies, spring rolls (the frozen bulk kind), and squares of puff pastry with some sauce and a slice of delimeat on top. Service was excellent but the venue so dim and brown I think that we'll go somewhere with a view next time.
As Christmas in July draws closer I find myself pondering about last December. Like me you no doubt spent December at copious Christmas lunches and dinners. Most of those venues were probably slick modern, run of the mill places. Out of all the of venues I went the one that left me pondering the most was the Mount Henry Tavern … or The Henry as it is known by locals.
I have no idea what's happening to this place. the food was overpriced and overcooked. every bite had no taste. Not sure whether they have changed own or cook or what the deal is. but the henry used to be really nice and good value for money. drink prices are also due to the dach. It is only decent that they have live sports on the big screen. prostsauce.

Hadn't been here here in years. Was really surprised on the look and feel of the place when we visited on a sunday evening for dinner. Chicken parmy was good, nothing fancy but gopd portion sizs! Pork belly was also tasty and great serving size. Will definitely head back for a weeknight pub meal to try some of the other meals on offer!
What a disappointment. Food was extremely average, that’s even being polite, awful is how I’d describe it. Crisp fish pieces were thin bits of dried, over cooked so called fish. Salad with daikon (dicon as it stated on menu), no daikon and no dressing. Can’t begin to say how truly lacking in flavour it was. Will not be going back.
was pleasantly surprised by the pork plate. bbq would be good, tastes good! frau ordered the lamb that came in very large part. eat great value, but drinks prices are on the high side. underestimated local gem. pay attention to the daily meals.
A group of us (5) had dinner here last night and it was just lovely. All meals were beautifully prepared, sweets were good too. Staff very friendly and helpful. The whole evening was most enjoyable. We are locals, so will happily come again.
