This place is great! The staff is so friendly and informative. They gave wonderful recommendations on what they liked best based off our preferences and my husband and I where so thrilled with what we got! Everything was so fresh and even with the 20 minute drive home, nothing got soggy. We will definitely will be back! Definitely try the broccoli cheddar soup and the chicken salad!Vegetarian options: They have great salad with a ton of veggies to choose from!Kid-friendliness: It’s a open space so it was super easy to wheel in my strollerParking: There’s a HUGE parking lotDietary restrictions: They offer gluten free bread which is always a plus!
The food was definitely fresh but there were definitely things they could improve upon. The Hero Joint Patchogue Village The food was really good and you can tell it was fresh. The price has us questioning if we will be back. My recommendation is that they find better ways to store their homemade chips which I suspect will also take care of the knats as well. Their homemade chips was the reason we decided to give them a try. They put so much time and effort into the homemade chips, which gives them the competitive edge with those around them as they are one of the view with homemade chips.
Ordered on Uber eats. I got the meathead sandwich. It was 13.99. It was very good. The bread was fresh and the cold cuts were good but for that price I expected more meat. My wife got the Mikey Manhattan sandwich which was 14.99. She said it was very good. She also got the homemade chips which she said were delicious. My only issue was the price. I understand with delivery services they add to the price but it seemed like a lot to pay 30+ for 2 sandwiches.
I stopped on my way to work. I ordered the New York chopped steak. The taste was good. I asked if they could season it a bit, but whoever cooked it has a small hot sauce happy. Good thing I love met Sauce. It was a, but subdued, until how much chopped beef on bread was taking into account the price point. 2oz more would have been perfect. All in all, I was satisfied and will have another shot in the future.

Went to the hero joint for the first time ever because I heard they started serving the chopped cheese known as the Johnny Chopped cheese at their restaurant and it was amazing. I never had a chopped cheese before and I know nothing will ever top this one . So much better than a Philly cheese steak. I will definitely be returning to the hero joint to try more of their sandwiches.
It's hard to find. I went in and there were no customers. 630pm thurs eve. There were 3 employees. I stood there waiting for 5 minutes or so before I was in the mood. I ordered the American style hero and for $17 including tax I was less than impressed. The sandwich was fine and fresh. Nothing spectacular in service or about the top ingredients.
The newly roasted meat is a must-try at this restaurant. They are very generous with the portions on their sandwiches. The price is definitely worth it. I have always had a positive experience at both the Patchogue and Bayshore locations. Recently tried the Bully sandwich and it was excellent. The pork was roasted to perfection.
First time here! My husband kept telling me about it. Had the Mikey Manhattan! Soooo good! Their homemade chips are awesome! Friendly staff! Clean atmosphere! Cool decor! Definitely coming back and bringing a friend.?

After a wedding stopped and it was some of the best food I had. Great atmosphere and Tommy is the best and really knows how to run a business! Can you get one of these places out in Phoenix Arizona, please?
