From the moment we walked in the warm greeting and service was lovely. As it was our first time and we came before the crowd, the owner showed us around and gave us a choice of tables. The menu was hard to choose from it all sounded amazing, so we ordered the seafood platter for 2, for a variety of dishes. Many times when I've ordered a seafood platter at other restaurants I've been disappointed. But this was absolutely incredible! We had the most incredible seafood platter we've ever had! Totally recommend it plus squid ink ravioli with crab meat. Once you eat into it a raw egg is released into the blure Blanc sauce a Masterchef experience! Thank you Angela your restaurant rocks
We love this place!! The food is delicious and it has a lovely atmosphere, very homely. The staff are wonderful too and always make us feel so welcome! We come back time and time again for these reasons and are never disappointed. Highly recommend it!!

Loved the Elderton wine dinner last night. I have always heard good things about The Herring Room and you delivered. Can't wait to come back and try the regular menu. Fabulous room, food, wine and staff.
