We visited The Hidden Veggie Kitchen last night and were glad we travelled the 1.5 hours each way to do so. From the moment we entered we were made to feel at home. The hosts, Louise and David, were very warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The service was relaxed and unhurried and everybody (it was fully booked with vegetarians and non-vegetarians) looked like they were relaxing and enjoying themselves. The food looked inviting and was delicious and tasty and served hot. We both chose the same options from the menu. We had spicy lentil bolognase with tortilla chips and then we had the special of the day which was a chickpea base curry served with rice and spicy potat...
This pop-up style restaurant serves a small but delightful menu that is all vegetarian or vegan friendly. Despite being a carnivore, the delicious food has captured a place in my heart, and my wife and I have already returned for an evening of culinary pampering, with future dates already booked.A maximum of 14 guests can be seated with no pressure to complete your meal as the table is yours for the lunchtime or evening. Truely worth a visit if you can. Booking is required as this gem increases in popularity and visibility.
A friend and I visited yesterday for lunch after a trip to Limoges. My friend is a vegetarian and I'm just a fan of well cooked vegetarian food which this certainly was! Haloumi fries to start were amazing, the chickpea based main course was delicious and we loved the chocolate mousse and were amazed when the lovely owner explained how it is made. I'll be back for another meal before long, even though we live over an hour away. It's worth the drive.
Nous avons mangé ici pour le brunch et cela valait vraiment les 40 minutes de trajet pour le découvrir. L'hôtesse Laura était extrêmement sympathique et accueillante et la nourriture était fantastique, très bien pensée, savoureuse et visuellement attrayante. Nous y retournerons certainement à un moment pour goûter le menu du soir. Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation, c'est une vraie trouvaille!

I went and my heart dropped when I got a plate of boring brown lentils, I am not a great lover of brown lentil dishes. I tentatively took a taste and jumping Jerusalem it was far from what I had expected, it was like a vegetable explosion on the palate. I highly recommend a trip to this establishment. All the best to Louise and Dave they fixed my hatred of brown lentils with their mind boggling treat!
We are vegetarians and fed up with always being offered omellette ! so was chuffed to find a vegetarian restaurant not too far from us. Booked via facebook and was delighted by the welcome and the food. it was very tasty and the Valentine pudding was really good !
Tellement rafraîchissant de trouver une nourriture végétarienne et végétalienne fantastique et intéressante préparée maison, délicieuse et le tout dans un cadre tranquille et magnifique. Un vrai régal.
