My daughter asked to go out for breakfast to our local Weatherspoons. We chose a table near the window. The couple behind us asked if the air con could be turned down as they were cold. We placed our order on the app. Our drinks arrived and we heard the couple ask again about the air con, the gentleman said of course and turned it off. Whilst we waited for our food a young couple with a newborn baby came and sat down. They also commented on how cold it was. Our food arrived and looked great. Hi all, earlier today (which is Sunday 6th of October when I’m writing this) I decided to take the family out for breakfast in the local area after pondering several locations within Norton I decided upon the local Wetherspoons (the highland laddie). I have previously been underwhelmed with the service and food at other Wetherspoons in the Teesside area ,however I saw a stark contrast in this Wetherspoons. The food was same old spoons (decent at best), however I was particularly impressed with one particular member of staff who could only be described as the alpha Male of the pub. This evening i visited here with my Granddaughter, we ordered the simple Mangalore curry, when it arrived the rice was cold and stuck together, I had the all day brunch when that arrived the chips were cold also the beans I told the waitress and she took it back while waiting 20 minutes for a fresh one, my Granddaughter had well finished her meal, and yet again the bacon, egg and beans were barely warm. So we will not partake again.
Called in the Lad for a cooked breakfast after recent visit with some other relatives as I was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian option.I decided to give it a second try to see that I wasn 't just lucky first time. I can only say I really enjoyed the second visit opting again for the vegetarian cooked breakfast which included some properly cooked vegetarian sausage. My relative liked their regular breakfast.

Called in for breakfast today and went to pay seen a old chap drinking a pint of lager at 9ish am,thought couldn’t serve alcohol before 11! Anyway food spot on and service service excellent especially from the girl who served us short shaved hair maybe new to here ,food went down quick and a great coffee in here,fairly busy and good atmosphere.well worth the money.a great experiment will be back
Do now the beer garden is for drinking only. Smoking and vaping banned your made to stand on the high street, Now fair enough if you actually provided bin to out cigarettes in but you havent and you have now encouraged the high street to be littered in cigarette butts. And customers to block the foot path with glasses in their hands safe to say the lad is to be avoided.
Hate to say this but I Came in Saturday morning with my family before we went to the Middlesbrough game to be greeted with what looked like a set of staff that had been partying non stop, swearing loudly, still looked drunk. Will not be returning in a hurry. Disappointing from what’s normally a very good place to eat. Is there a way to complain further?
Do a decent breakfast here and good choice and good prices yummy,Place clean and inviting and toilets modern,pleasant staff and great service whats no to like,popular here and very busy at times.nice drinks as well.ill be back.

This is a very nice bar restaurant,very comfortable,with the usual Wetherspoons menu good food and good service for the usual Wetherspoons price
Is good atmosphere food is okay b chips were Defoe not cheesy food came very quick tho so we were Happy about that. It’s cheap here too
