I used to have great things to say about this restaurant, but unfortunately, it has declined in quality over the past year. There doesn't seem to be any management in control, only young staff who lack customer service training and seem indifferent. I ordered a medium-well fillet steak, but it arrived very rare. After a long wait, a staff member took it back, leaving the pepper sauce to go cold. When it was returned to me, I was told it was only the end piece that was rare, but the rest was fine. We opted for the over 60’s menu and my wife had the lasagne and I had the steak and ale pie and wow were we surprised at the generous proportions. Cooked to perfection, both meals were delicious, the Double Dragon ale was sublime and the waitress service was excellent This inn easily gets 5 stars. Just be careful driving because the last mile or so is single track but well worth it .
Second time here, first time left a fab review, but tonight, what a disappointment. Staff referred to us as mate, although we reserved a table we were put by the bar, not good, and the food was awful. Had the fish and chips, very old fat used for both. Tainted everything. Couldn't leave a tip, it was that bad.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and it is an excellent place to dine. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant and family-friendly. I highly recommend it for its tasty variety of meal options.

I had another amazing meal before heading to the airport for my vacation. Every dish I've tried here has been excellent. The service is always top-notch and they serve generous portions.
Been here a couple of times, best cooked steak in the vale. : Our steak was beautiful and Well cooked, good sized portions. Staff lovely had a great meal would recommend.
Call in often for lunch, senior citizens menu is delicious and very reasonably priced, the Barnsley chop is amazing and the lasagna delicious.

First Visit. Warm and welcoming staff. Quality food. Chicken kebab a winner. Mixed grill generous but steak chewy.
