The Hobbit Restaurant

I've heard so many good things about this place and finally got to celebrate a friends birthday here. Th e hobbit restaurant truly is a full experience and I'm here for it. The service, quality and food was great. We came early during the cocktail hour and were able to get settled in before the hors d'oeuvres were served in the wine cellar. My favorite hors d'oeuvres was the ham and cheese croissant pull apart. When we were called for dinner we were seated and name cards were places for each of us. I appreciate amount of detail that went into making each guest feel special! We were served a set meal starting with seared driver scallop followed by duck confit. Unfortunately, we had to tap out just a little early as we had been at the lounge since 6, but this was just splendid in every sense of the word. The hors d'oeuvres were terrific and so diverse. The wine and champagne were spectacular, as was chatting with the friendly sommelier, and the entrées were unbelievable. They were kind enough to pack our desserts to go, and we couldn't be more grateful to enjoy them the next day. Cannot wait to come back, what an experience!

To keep it short, the experience was better than the food. Staff was amazing. The champagne and hors d'ouvres were good. The salmon appetizer was kinda dry. The quail was good. The prime rib was ok. The dessert was good. Wine pairing was excellent. The place is charming and made you feel like you are on vacation! Overall something to try once but probably wouldn't come back.

Came here for my friends 40th birthday party. The Hobbit has a set menu and the person hosting the event forgot to let them know in advance that I'm a vegetarian Thankfully the chef and staff was very accommodating and was able to whip up a wonderful meal on such short notice! It was so expensive, but it was a unique experience. The food was good, and they give a complimentary glass of champagne. Expect to pay about $500 for two people once tax and tip are complete.
