We first heard about Holyrood 9A through an online blog whilst looking for dog friendly places to eat and drink in Edinburgh, and were very happy to find it very close to where we were staying. We visited twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the staff were very friendly and attentive, food was delicious and we really enjoyed the selection of beers and cocktails. Also on both occasions, our dog was presented with a dish of water and some biscuits on a little silver plate he was very appreciative! Definitely on our list to revisit and recommend.
In my review from September 2021, I found Edit to be a very nice craft pub. It was easy to miss from the outside, but once inside, it was surprising how big and nice it was. There were many taps, but only about 10 were available that day, likely due to Covid restrictions. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant on a quiet Friday afternoon. The beer and the establishment were well taken care of. I will definitely return next time I am in town. Highly recommended.
Visited with five pals on a Tuesday night in December. The lasting impression I have is of the staff, and their friendly and super-attentive nature. Nothing was too much trouble, and they had that uncanny knack of remembering what everybody had to drink on the previous round! The burgers were also tasty and filling. We’ll certainly be back for more.
Looked for a place that accepted dogs and this came up. Lovely pub, with excellent service and amazing food. Our wee pup was greeted with water and a snack, and was beyond delighted. The chips they serve are perfect. Can't recommend it enough!

The burgers here are better than Gordon's across the street. Despite the small kitchen and only one chef, they still managed to cook a fantastic lunch. Thank you.
Awesome dog friendly pub. Staff were very attentive and the food was great. They also made a real fuss of our dog providing her with some treats and a water bowl.
We ordered burgers for my adult son’s birthday dinner. The burgers were amazing and could be the best burger I have ever had. Definitely give this place a try.

It is a local pub style, cozy and intimate. I had a burger that was pretty good and the service very well.
This is a fantastic spot for conversation. The Rhubarb mocktail was delicious!
