My boyfriend and I stopped into this pub on our way back from a country walk. We bought some drinks and were having a nice relaxing chat at a table by the bar, when the landlord stormed out of the kitchen and started shouting at...us about the “mess” we had made at our table. He stormed off and then returned a few minutes later, shouting again and gesturing at our boots which he claimed were dirty, even though we had taken great pains to wipe them clean before we entered the pub, shouting “would you treat your lounge like this?!” and shouting at us repeatedly and very loudly in front of a full pub. wow, that was an experience. a table of 6 asked to go because the cook ran out of sinking. incredible! if they dare to visit this facility, they ask nothing because the cook will visit her table and the grant. you chef! you managed to get a bad rating and lost over £200.00 in the sales. this is not the first time that this has happened when a member of our party recently had a similar experience.
This is a truly wonderful family run restaurant with seriously good food. I had the lamb shank special and it was unctuously delicious. Perfect for the miserable weather. My Wife’s steak and mushroom pie was rich and had a proper pastry crust. This is a...place that knows how to cook and takes pleasure in doing it well. The Service is friendly efficient and warm. The basics done very well.
My family visited from up north and I brought them here as a friend recommended. There was a lovely selection of specials, my wife had a delicious Swordfish dish and I took the Lamb Shank which was smashing! The rest of the family had pub...classics Fish and Chips Steak and Ale Pie, we had an amazing time with excellent service. The bill came to approx £20 a person, well priced.

Many, many thanks for the way our walking group of 18 was looked after at lunchtime yesterday. The food was excellent and was produced so efficiently that we were able to be on our way to Bath within the hour! All of our group were...very impressed with our choice of pub for lunch and I'm sure that many will wish to return when they are next near Bath.
great post to foot Sunday afternoon. the pub can happily accommodate many people without feeling overcrowded. park and close to the cycle path so perfect stop-off point for drinks and eating. service was excellent. meat and vegetables well cooked. I like it.
we were a party of 8 stay in the millhouse and booked for dinner. we were really impressed by the hosting of oscar as well as the quality of the food. big pub and would highly recommend.
A beautiful pub serving delicious food. There was great choice on the menu and food portion sizes were very generous. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

ideally located at the end of the two tunnel greenway. good cheap food and friendly service. a lot of space inside and outside. nice place!
