Love this pub and have been visiting now for a couple of years. Beer is a reasonable price and regular “beer” is swapped often to ensure a wide variety available. I stick to lagers normally, which again are reasonably priced and always served in the matching glass. Bar snacks are available and include pork pies, sandwiches and a bit of a spread which is my lads favourite. There’s a big screen and different sports are often shown. The pub has a proper pub feel to it and the atmosphere is great. Staff are friendly and make the time to speak to you, always with a smile and always genuinely interested to talk to you. Dogs are welcome and when one of ours had an accident, staff were quick to help...

A little story of how being nice can make someone’s weekend. We were visiting the area for a family party in Nottingham (21 Oct and were looking for some lunch. Although the lunch menu did not suit for us, the barman (maybe landlord ? was so helpful in finding us a different place to eat, detriment to his own cost. His recommendation was spot on. As a result of this, my brother and I felt compelled to revisit and sample some of his real ales WOW! He had some crackers, and he thoroughly explained everything about every beer on tap and was plentiful in his tasters. From what we seen of the place it was tidy, well run with nice regulars and the landlord was a truly awesome chap wish we’d got hi...

Very welcoming and friendly pub. It is obviously a locals pub but all the locals were very friendly and accomadating with information for our stay in Nottingham. The room was clean and had a fridge, fan and refreshments in the room. Toilet and shower facilities were separate but very private as no on suite in the rooms, do not let this put you off. Highly recommended as great value for money.

I went for an afternoon out for a beer festival. The festival concentrated on beers from Yorkshire. We tried several cask beers which were all fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. I had not visited the 'Jockey ' before, but I enjoyed it and will be back. Réservez une table maintenant

This is a great pub for Real Ale lovers. There were 12 to choose from starting at £2:80 a pint! I loved the Stancill Barnsley Bitter at £3:30 the most. The pub grub was more than passable. This pub might not be everyone`s cup of tea but i loved it!
