The Horse Groom Village Inn

We stayed 4 nights and ate at the restaurant each night. Excellent rump steak, so tender, cooked to perfection. Fresh vegetables and delicious deserts. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend for dinner. Rooms pleasant, bit small for twin beds, but that’s the UK in general if you stay at Inns which are 450 years old!

Stopped for lunch based on reviews. Very welcoming staff and a good atmosphere, yet somewhat disappointed with the quantity of food, although tasty it would have been nice to enjoy a more substantial meal. Average prices for the area. Hard to recommend based on quantity but will recommend on quality and good staff.

We stopped in for a drink during our walk from Stow. Unfortunately, they didn't have Guinness on tap, so we had to save the port chaser for the next pub. Despite that, the bar staff and locals were very friendly, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall, a pleasant experience.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The roast beef was incredibly delicious and tender, it practically melted in my mouth! The service was quick and friendly, even though the restaurant was crowded. I highly recommend this place.

Very disappointed was taken out by a family member so did not want to make fuss . Had ham hock with eggs and chips . The ham hock was overcooked , the eggs like bullets did ask for 2 new ones
