Having previously posted a poor review about the service charge at the Ivy Spinningfields, we received a really nice phone call explaining it and resolving it amicably. We did actually originally say that the actual Afternoon Tea was really nice and the ambiance of the Ivy Rooftop was fantastic. We also originally said the the service was really nice and very polite too. The bad review as we said was all about the service charge. All now sorted out and we can now say that we can recommend the Ivy for an Afternoon Tea which is as good and probably better as any we have had in other Manchester hotels .
I must admit, having been a frequent visitor for many years, I was really disappointed with the meal. I bring both business guests and personal guests throughout the year to the ivy (which you can see from my booking history). I have two dinners booked for clients in December. One in Birmingham and one in December. However, I am considering changing these venues now as the food was cold. Our fillet steaks were chewy and the chips and steak cold, as previously stated. Sorry to leave this review. However, I have to be honest.
