We have met friends here for lunch a number of times, but this wasn’t our best experience unfortunately. Our table was in a smallish room with low ceiling and families with small children already there not their fault, but the noise level was uncomfortable. Starters were good, but three of us chose beef for the main course and it was poor— very tough and hard to cut, with a lot of fat and gristle. Our waitress was very helpful and reported this to the Manager and then came back to say that we would be given 50% of the cost of the beef meals. That seemed fair, but we’d have preferred to have been able to eat and enjoy it.
Even though I am usually a big fan of this restaurant, I was disappointed with my experience on Easter Sunday. The food was mediocre and the staff seemed unenthusiastic. I will not be returning anytime soon. It's a pity.
Really good service here, orders were taken quickly, food was efficient and excellent quality. A good choice for gluten intolerant people and food is cooked by a well-known chef. Love the decor. Will definitely return.
Table service was slow very young inexperienced staff who tried hard. Food was really good some roast potatoes a bit hard. Great fresh veg asked for more and they came quickly. A big improvement on the last 12 months.

Been here a few times pre covid. This time with two friends new to the jockey. They were very pleased and sent me this comment; “good choice, good service, nice food and very good internally.” Our views are the same.
The food was excellent, but there were not many options to choose from. Unfortunately, my husband was unable to find any appetizers or desserts on the menu.
The dinner was first class, the price was a little heavy compared to others in the area. For that reason while I would use again it won't be regularly.
The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, making for a very enjoyable dining experience, which is why we came back with friends.

All good except the Aunt Bessy type roast potatoes.
