the selection was very bad, I wanted a mixed grill, but it was tip-ex on the menu?! in the did a lot of eating on the menu appeared Tripp-Ex! the madras at the end tasted like a microwave curry menu... from a bargain food shop! the lighting in the restaurant was very dark and very bad decor! but his happiness that most people do not stay in newport in east riding of yorkshire! if they do that, they simply drink a drink in jolly sailor, but avoid eating
Friend and I had 2 rooms for a 2 night stay over Easter whilst visiting friends in Newport. Lovely well appointed en suite rooms, very comfy bed! Lots teas, coffees and biccies in rooms! Nice hot power shower. Lovely hosts very accommodating let us...choose our breakfast times! Breakfast itself was superb basically anything you want and all cooked fresh to order.I'd def stay again and the meals looked fab that we saw served. 5 STARS!
I went to The Jolly Sailor tonight for a family meal. We all ordered different dishes and when they arrived, they were piping hot and there was plenty of it. The home-cooked food was excellent and the staff were lovely. I highly recommend visiting for a delicious meal.
