A great little counrty pub with a lovely outdoor seating area. Family and dog friendly in a very welcoming local pub located just off the village cricket pitch. Good range of menu options served in a warm and friendly manner. All food freshly and individually prepared so be prepared for a reasonably laid back experience. Very popular Sunday evening with several large tables of local people eating.

Always enjoy Sunday lunch at The Jolly Tanners. The Landlord and staff are very welcoming and friendly and they make a great fuss of dogs. The food was absolutely delicious. Roast beef cooked to perfection and the trifle took us back to our childhood. Efficient, friendly service in what remains a ‘proper’ pub. Can’t fault it.

A most welcoming village pub, who went all out on the busiest Sunday of their year o make us welcome. It was the day that the London Brighton Veteran car run passed through Staplefield and despite being extremely busy the staff made us welcome and served a good roast lunch.
