Slightly late review but here it is... I have visited a few times for some after work drinks and the bar staff are super friendly. In the nice weather I have sat in the garden area out the back and the locals and returning customers along with 1st timers have all been great to the point I have made some friends along the way. Very friendly customer base. Last night I decided to get some food and I was not disappointed. I had the spicy Thai green curry with jasmine rice, it was really good to the point I have recommended to friends and as I have just started working as hotel assistant manager in the travelodge across the road I have mentioned to any guests looking for a nice lunch or dinner t...
Having eaten here a least once a month, normally 3 times, for last 4 years . Visited last week to find the menu has changed. The lady actually apologised as we sat down. And it was explained that the owner need to make savings. Well. It's appalling. Choose a main. With added sauce. A bowl of noodles or rice. ?, Starters now miniscule. No fish. No lamb. The 2 best dishes previously. You have made an error if judgement here. It really is not the same quality or enjoyable meal. Very sad about this as it really was a great restaurant. No longer for us. A real disappointment. Sorry. But good bye.
I visited the pub with a friend, the bar staff were friendly, the other customers friendly. We didn’t eat, just had drinks but the lager was cold and fresh. Can’t fault the pub, would happily return. One thing that was odd is that while playing on the fruit machine we were told only one person could use it at a time and my friend would have to sit down. I’m not sure if it was a joke or serious as we ignored it and finished playing our game. In the end I won a tenner so took my winnings. Overall I would still recommend the pub
Located on the first floor of a pub in the pedestrian part of Redhill, a stone’s throw from the train station. Exterior looks like a standard pub. Interior a combination of different styles, spaced out tables. The food concept Asian fusion and is a single bowl for mains and the starters. Had the tofu with peanut sauce was ok : found the tofu rather tasteless. The venerable dumpling were rather nice. The mains of grilled chicken breast with egg rice, satay sauce was nice. Wonderful food and service yet again provided for our Family Reunion by Sai and Nan. We had exclusive use of the first floor restaurant (Sunday midday to early evening), buffet style Thai Food with Vegan/vegetarian options all freshly prepared and topped up as everyone throughly enjoyed the food. English food options provided for the younger children. This created an informal relaxing atmosphere for everyone to experience. Thank you.
They menu is incredibly simple. Choose your protein, choose your carbohydrate, choose your sauce. Nice and easy to tailor to your taste. The food came in a Buddha style bowl and was more than plentiful. The sauce came on the side so could add as needed. We both chose the crispy chicken. The batter was so light and crispy it was just wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place. I can’t wait to visit again when in the area.
Delicious Thai food, and also offers the British pub classics. The Thai restaurant is upstairs, with a nice atmosphere, and friendly and attentive waiting staff. We wanted somewhere to eat after visiting the Light Cinema, but not burger/pizza, and we were not disappointed. First visit, but it won’t be our last!
Another fantastic meal at the Junction, so delicious I didn’t want to finish it. I can highly recommend the crispy duck in chilli cider sauce according to hubby, the spicy beef massaman curry was also delicious. Thank you for your excellent hospitality, Nan, Millie team.
