It's such a delight to see a nut roast on the menu when visiting a pub for Sunday dinner. Many places offer vegetarian options that feel a bit like cheating, but we enjoy a Sunday roast just as much as any meat-lover! That’s why we always choose to celebrate Mother's Day at the Kentish Rifleman, and it never disappoints. The pub is gorgeous, situated in a charming old building, and the staff is incredibly friendly—it's hard to ask for more! (And the lemon cheesecake is absolutely fantastic too!)

This beautiful country pub features a stunning garden with plenty of tables both in the sun and in the shade, making it a perfect spot for everyone. We enjoyed a delicious lamb dish followed by Belgian chocolate waffles, which were simply delightful. The food was served promptly as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

Lovely country pub/restaurant serving great food and real ales. Great service from the friendly staff with all meals served promptly but with relaxed style in a nice atmosphere. Will certainly visit again if I'm in the area. Recommended!!

We stopped in without a reservation, and Jon welcomed us and added a table. The ale was right and the food excellent. Most of all, we enjoyed Jon and his staff's hospitality. We'll definitely return!
