The Kings Head Bar and Grill, Worcester

We went to The Kings Head to celebrate my husbands birthday. We booked in advance and initially things weren’t too bad but after ordering the food it all went down hill! We arrived at 7.30 and at 8.30 we were still waiting for starters, the starter I ordered didn’t state it sits on mayonnaise hence when it arrive I sent it back as I don’t eat mayonnaise. I was then told that another starter would take 10 minutes so I told them not to worry and I would stick to the main on it’s own, a minute later our waitress came back with my new starter which actually was the original one that they had just moved onto a different plate and tried to hind the mayonnaise it had on it!! The food was very good and the waitress was pleasant friendly, however as the waiting staff were also serving at the bar and it was busy, the service was a little slow. We asked for the bill which was brought to us, but then we seemed to be forgotten. I had to attract the attention of the waitress to take payment.

Normal looking bar with exceptional food. Service was acceptable, nothing special. The food however was delicious!!! We do not live locally to Worcester, however, my partner and I are already planning a return visit soon to enjoy another yummy meal.

Second visit here with colleagues. Food again was great. I had baked Brie followed by lamb leg steak on garlic mask with veg. All beautifully cooked. Portions are big and you certainly will not leave hungry. Nice atmosphere
