The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly, and the outdoor seating area is quite nice; however, the indoor decor feels a bit outdated. I’ve dined here twice now—once from the regular menu and once from the Sunday menu—and unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing in terms of the food. It reminded me of school lunches and didn’t meet the quality I would expect from a gastropub. Price per person was between £30 and £40. Here’s my breakdown: Food: 2, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 3.
Met a friend for lunch today which was both our first visit here. You have to register your car to park. We sat outside in the marquee was very pleasant. The food was very good tasty. I had thai green curry friend had roast beef toasted sandwich. Staff were helpful friendly. Parking: You have to register your car to park on the tablet fitted to the wall just inside the door, if you don't then you'll receive an expensive charge. Price per person: £10–20
We had a long wait for our drinks and meals but the manager explained he had a lot of new staff so it was understandable. The food was definitely worth the wait, delicious Sunday roast and good portion sizes. They discounted the bill to apologise which wasn't really necessary as we weren't disappointed overall. The waitress even refused to take a tip! We'd like to go more often if we get time as it's a nice place to go with the family. Food: 5
Friendly welcome and attentive service, good food excellent burgers and tasty tiramisu. An unwelcome fly slightly spoilt the evening, but it's a nice place and we will return. Parking: Own car park, not large but probably adequate. You must register your car on screen inside pub.
