The Little Dooey - Réserver une table

After Googling, souveniors to buy in MS groceries, Little Dooey mild BBQ sauce popped up. With that said, I knew I had to visit the restaurant to see how their BBQ sauce is before I bring home some for myself. The restaurant definitely has the southern charm. Although it looks small on the exterior, I was surprised to find three different room compartment. Being in Starkville, the restaurant was decorated with MS State University. Being the tourist that I am, I ordered the Mississippi Beef Brisket Plate (comes with 2 sides; and yes, because it has the name MS in it). I 've been coming to the Dooey for years. Both as a student and now as an alumni. Yesterday, the food was not good at all. The boiled shrimp were cooked so long it was hard to even get the peeling off. The person I was with got a bbq sandwich and it had zero taste to it. Nothing Smokey or bbq tasting about it. The floor at the drink station was like walking on glue. Extremely sticky. And the women 's bathroom didn 't flush. No out of order sign or anything. The handle on the toilet just dangled. I hate to say it, but yesterday was probably my last trip to a long time Starkville favorite.

So yummy!! Found Little Dooey down on Fellowship and I must say the food was so good and the workers were friendly and welcoming! Fried Fish and those baked beans were heavenly, y'all hurry and try this place you won't be disappointed

I got the crab cluster with shrimp and it was good! The only issue was that it needed seasoning so I had to add some with the Cajun seasonings they had on the tables! My mom enjoyed her catfish red beans and rice!

The Little Dooley is a Starkville staple to get your barbecue fix! Would recommend to anyone visiting.
