we booked our table a few weeks before our stay in ballater. we found the restaurant to be busy and were warmly welcomed by the employees. we have poppadome with pickle tablet, followed by chicken shallow, peshwari naan, veg. rogan josh, clear...Chapatti, a side by brinjal bhaji. because my partner is not eating rice, we asked for a green salad that is not on the menu, and that was not a problem. that was the first class over the board. We went there as a family, and have been very impressed by the quality of food and staff in the restaurant. The staff was lovely and very attentive they made sure we were comfortable at all times. We ordered prawns and ‘mixed meats/fish’ curries....The food was the best Indian food we have eaten for years! The prawns were big, moist and perfectly cooked, the mix of spices (in our different curries) wonderfully aromatic, and curries were made on the ‘less spicy side’ for the kids (they woofed it). Highly recommended this is a gem.

many delicious veg and vegan options here. most of the main dishes have a mixed menu choice and the menu has a lot of appetizers and pages to choose from. many Indian dishes tend to be naturally veg/ vegan, but the a fabulous non-vegan ingredient would be ghee- asking them if they order a dish. excellent and imaginative Indian, moghul and bangladesch cuisine. served in a very pleasant environment by attentive staff. eating was hot, well prepared and served and immediately arrives. the restaurant was very busy and I would recommend booking in advance.

Ate here on our first night as residents of Ballater. Having a great Indian restaurant is important to us, and we were not disappointed. Very friendly, great food, no complaints. And we can walk there in 5 minutes.

we visited twice, while we were here on holiday and had a fabulous meal at every occasion. excellent vegetarian dishes and monk fish starter was very good service was very attentive and staff very friendly
