On a very busy Saturday morning in Bury St Edmunds we were struggling to find a spot for a bit of brunch and we luckily stumbled across the blackboard advertising this place which is neatly tucked away off the main drag. The staff are lovely and whilst a table was not immediately available we were sat as soon as possible. It 's a lovely spot with a real buzz and I should imagine the garden is just glorious in good weather. Certainly onto remember and much better than any of the chain offerings!
Visited on a Sunday for a light lunch. I had a chicken, bacon, sweetcorn and mayo sandwich and my wife a coronation chicken sandwich with 2 cappuccinos. There was space in the small courtyard garden which was nice with the sunshine so we sat there. Quick service with fresh food served quickly and at a reasonable price
This restaurant is located in a beautiful setting and this was our second visit. We were very pleased with the food and coffee. The toilets were clean, but unfortunately, the inside of the cafe could use a thorough spring cleaning. It also seems unnecessary to allow dogs inside, especially with carpets in place.
Quirky layout welcoming singles through to larger groups dogs! . Very family accommodating. Large choice of food which was presented nicely and was absolutely delicious … choose the rarebit but be wary of burning your mouth!! Réservez une table maintenant
For years always loved coming here, always been a favourite for my daughter. But sadly the place is getting over run with dogs which has spoilt the place.
Yummy food , spacious and friendly staff. Smells old and furniture seem old(sofas) but mo big deal. Would be nice if operates past 4pm as well
Recently been back to The Lounge for coffee and cakes, really nice,definitely will go back. Hopefully will be warm enough to sit in garden.
Hidden away, we were lucky to find this. Sat in the walled garden (heaters were on and blankets available). Lovely staff. Great food! Réservez une table maintenant
Soooooo good! Had one of the best lunches of my life here. Have the Suffolk rarebit, my god! Amazing
