The Lynhall Edina Afternoon Tea

The afternoon tea was very good. Most of the food was delicious, especially the coronation chicken sandwich and the rosemary-chevre scone. The only item that I really did not like was the beet sandwich with horseradish, yes Beet, not Beef. However, I strongly dislike horseradish and am not a fan of beets, so I can 't hold this against the restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was very attentive. Overall it was a great experience and I would do it again. My suggestion for improvement would be to have other beverages readily available, such as hot chocolate, coffee or soft drinks, as I don 't care much for tea. I understand it is a tea but I mainly go to a tea for the wonderful food. Also, it was busy- almost full- and we were charged for 6 Tea Services when there were 5 of us. Fortunately we noticed and they re-did the bill, but I 'd suggest to check your bill before paying.

Love the heated parking ramp, especially that day. Your staff was attentive and friendly. Most of the scones, savory sandwiches, and desserts were tasty and nice to bring the leftovers home. My main critique would be our table. We got seated as soon as we walked in, but it was a two top and a challenge to fit all your accoutrements on it without mishap. It was by the window; it was a cold day and the heat wasn't keeping up. There were numerous open larger tables in the restaurant the whole time we were there. That looked much more comfortable for me and my 86YO mother. We were not given a choice. In conclusion, some nice aspects, but after waiting 6 weeks or so to get in for a tiny table and a decent size tab, I'm not sure it was worth the effort and expense.

The food was delicious and there was SO MUCH of it! I am gluten free, and the food was really delicious. It’s sometimes hard to find good GF baked goods and breads. They were all wonderful. The tea selection was large and the staff gave great recommendations. It was such a fun experience! I would love to do it again.
