We bought tickets for the “Adults and 10 and under” event, and our combined families included three kids under four and one one-year-old. Unfortunately, the restaurant seemed unprepared for young children. They used the same fragile dishware and table setup as they would for adults. We received admonishments like “Don’t bang the spoon on the table,” “Kids need to stay seated at all times,” and “Don’t handle the china that way.” We expected a more accommodating environment for kids in this age group. My partner and I visited the Mad Hatter's for the first time yesterday, and we can't wait to go back. The house and grounds are stunning, and the view of the Rum River is beautiful. My partner ordered the chicken and waffles and found the tenders to be a bit dry, but the waffle was excellent. I had the eggs benedict with avocado and fried green tomatoes, accompanied by loaded grits, and I enjoyed every bite. I also tried a 12 oz mimosa with lavender syrup, which was delightful. A group of five of us went for high tea and brunch yesterday, and it was a lot of fun. Megan was our server, and she was friendly and very helpful explaining the menu to us. Also the owners walked around and thanked folks for coming, which was very meaningful. It was a joy to support a local business. I have a food allergy, and they easily accommodated it. Thank you so much for a good experience! I’d love to come back.
I took my mom here for her birthday, and we opted for the Queen of Hearts tea service. We absolutely loved it! The scones and finger sandwiches were delicious. Although I'm not usually a tea drinker, this tea was so delightful that I might return just to purchase some for home. I took my two nanny girls to this restaurant today for a tea party, and it was absolutely amazing! We had such a wonderful time dressing up, enjoying delicious snacks, and sipping on lovely teas. The atmosphere truly transports you back to England in the 1850s. It felt like a dream, and the staff was incredibly friendly! April was especially sweet to my girls and took great care of us. Every girl and woman need to experience this place. It's elegance is top notch, the ambiance is truly amazing and the food was delicious. The service was superb! You will probably talk about this place for days. Oh how I wish, a place like this was everywhere, so princesses and queens alike could enjoy. It's fit for king's and prince to. Just wow. Loved every dish we ordered. The crab cakes are the best we’ve had. The location is stunning: the split of the rivers. You can walk the grounds and be wowed yourselves. Now we’re booked for the Queen’s High Tea! Super excited. Also, cannot wait to try the Green Goddess.
