Was looking for a last minute afternoon tea and the reviews looked great for this place. We were lucky to get a table considering inside sits 10 or so (and there was already a booking for 6) and it was raining so could not sit outside. It is a family/small team run cafe. Enjoyed the theme for the cutlery and crockery. It was a nice touch. Could not see afternoon tea on the menu but they have it. I think can choose which sandwiches too depending on their options of the day, same with the cakes. All freshly made (felt home made) and generous size and fillings. I cannot compliment the egg sandwich enough I was bowled over by the flavour (an egg sandwich is not normally worth raving about)! The...

This is our second visit to Mad Hatters and it was just as perfect as our first visit. The owner went out of her way to cater for us (we are fussy eaters with 2 vegetarians). The cafe, whilst small, is delightful. Decorated with all the magic of Wonderland. We got a warm welcome and the food is delicious. We had some lovely fresh made sandwiches, some delicious scones with cream and jam and then some delicious cakes. We had unlimited tea and it is all beautifully presented. Mad hatters is the reason we made a second (extended), visit to Bath and it is well worth it. Thank you so much to the staff and owner, who feel more like friends to us with each visit.
Took my mum for a fantastic afternoon tea on her birthday. We were able to choose our sandwich fillings x 3 and were asked what home made slice of cake we wanted. It came with delicious home made scones (plain or fruit and whatever hot drink you chose. Even though it's in the centre of town with all the tourists it was the best afternoon tea I have had so far (and I've had many!! Nothing was too much trouble, even our onion allergy was catered for as if it was an everyday problem. At £22.50 each it was very good value for money, hands down better than the pump rooms. Quirky place but very attentive, happy people. I will definitely go again. Thank you
We went to this restaurant for a baby shower with a group of 10 people. Despite the small size of the interior, we were able to use both tables and had the whole area to ourselves. We opted for afternoon tea and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwiches, cakes, and scones. The bread was fresh and soft with generous fillings, the cakes were large, and the warm scones were served individually on plates with jam and cream on the side. Overall, it was one of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. Réservez une table maintenant
We booked the afternoon tea for 11 people for a hen do. The place was small as we had already been told so had 2 separate tables. The selection of sandwiches and cakes was lovely and all very fresh. The staff made extras if needed more. We were told could take own prosecco so along with the tea and coffee provided we enjoyed toasting the new bride. We took Alice in wonderland themed props for fun selfies at a fun venue.
The afternoon tea experience was delightful. You have the option to select your own sandwiches, enjoy unlimited hot drinks, indulge in a warm scone with jam and cream, and finish off with a generous slice of cake of your choice. The establishment is cozy and it is recommended to make a reservation in advance, particularly on weekends. The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly.
We discovered this quaint little eatery near the orange grove. It is a must try place for all Bath visitors. Their Biscoff cakes, tea-scones and assorted cookies are simply divine. Their sandwich platters and savory dishes are presented magnificently. The owners and the waitresses are super courteous. The decor is simply awesome. The place has an ambience beyond words.
This restaurant is uniquely attractive and has friendly staff. The sandwiches are fresh and generous, making it the perfect option for a change of pace from chain restaurants. It adds to the charm of Bath. Réservez une table maintenant
