we had lunch in this original little pub and restaurant three weeks ago for mamas birthday and were not disappointed again. the staff goes beyond and beyond to feel welcome and nothing seems too much annoying, they are so helpful and friendly. there were five of us and we had starters, main courses and a few puddings and no one could find mistakes with a single thing, nice eating, nice and hot, freshly cooked, beautiful local meat, absolutely nothing to like. we took friends here before we visit mama and papa in dorset and it has been great each time. we're coming back!

What a disappointing experience! After booking a table over the phone and taking a scenic walk with our dog to the restaurant, we were scolded for not knowing that dogs were not allowed in the dining area, despite it not being mentioned on the website or by the staff. We eventually settled in the bar and ordered the Rib of beef, which was not up to par. The Yorkshire puddings and desserts also seemed to be store-bought. It's a shame that this Palmers pub seems to be stuck in the past. We will not be in a hurry to return.

We stopped here for lunch and a couple of drinks mid-walk and found a friendly welcome, nice local brews and tasty food. Menu was varied and portions generous, the cottage pie with fresh vegetables was lovely. We had two dogs with us so sat in the garden which had plenty of space and a sheltered bit to stay out of the rain or sun.

we had a fantastic meal here two years ago and always wanted to go back what we did last night and had another nice meal, definitely recommend a visit here. really good eating, friendly staff and a beautiful landscape location perfect. Réservez une table maintenant

have only a fantastic lunch here today. really delicious food, a great menu and all reasonable prices. highly recommended. but not on the streets, it is worth it. best from a3066 over brad pol.
